NEW HAMPSHIRE - Crime Writers On co-hosts Kevin Flynn and Rebecca Lavoie-Flynn experienced an unusual courtroom coincidence that nearly created an appealable issue. Flynn, who filed a lawsuit against a former neighbor and is representing himself pro se, decided to secretly attend a jury selection to familiarize himself with the process. Flynn's own case, scheduled for June, was transferred from small claims to Superior Court for a jury trial. When Rebecca Lavoie-Flynn was called for jury duty, Flynn attended to observe voir dire without her knowledge. The proceedings ran an hour late, and as approximately 150 potential jurors filed into the courtroom, the bailiff directed people to Flynn's side of the gallery. Lavoie sat down directly in front of Flynn, so focused on the proceedings she never looked up to see who was around her. Flynn texted Lavoie-Flynn "UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES TURN YOUR HEAD TO SEE WHO'S SITTING BEHIND YOU." Both FlynnVoies left the courtroom without causing an appealable issue.
