VALENCIA - Toby Ball has arrived safely in his new home in Valencia, Spain. The Crime Writers On co-host completed his relocation with what the podcast newsletter described as "Ocean's Eleven precision." Ball signed the papers selling the family's Durham home on Tuesday and drove straight from the closing to Logan Airport for their flight to Barcelona. Ball is taking advantage of Spain's digital nomad visa program, which allows freelancers and the self-employed to stay for 12 months to 3 years. He sent photos from his first full day in Valencia, appearing to enjoy his slow transition from tourist to resident. Ball admits his Spanish language skills remain limited, joking that he can only ask for a table for three and say "Your cat is elegant." Ball will return to Crime Writers On on December 8 for their Top 10 Podcasts of 2025 episode.
